Sept. 14--T-minus nine days until the second season of Fox's "Empire" premieres. For now, here is where the cast has been spotted in Chicago in recent weeks, as well as other celeb sightings from around town:
- Jussie Smollett partied Wednesday at the newly opened Seven nightclub and lounge in Lakeview. Grace Gealey had dinner Aug. 28 at RPM Italian before heading to Three Dots and a Dash. "Empire" co-star Kaitlin Doubleday dined Sept. 5 at Dolce Italian in the Godfrey Hotel and Aug. 28 at Celeste.
- Lenny Kravitz -- who is scheduled to appear on season two of "Empire" -- dined Sept. 2 at Sunda while in town to perform at Ravinia. One Direction singer Liam Payne dined Aug. 22 at Sunda.
- Johnny Galecki ("The Big Bang Theory") had dinner Aug. 29 at Rockit Burger Bar and lunch Aug. 30 at Rockit Bar and Grill.
- Oliver Platt -- in Chicago filming NBC's "Chicago Med" -- dined Wednesday at Lou Malnati's in the Gold Coast.
- Singer and "True Detective" actor Rick Springfield hung out by the bar at David Burke's Primehouse in the James Hotel Sept. 10.
- Jeff Probst ("Survivor") dined Aug. 28 at RPM Steak.
- Kristin Cavallari ("The Hills") had dinner Aug. 28 at the newly opened Bar Siena. "Manzo'd with Children" stars Caroline Manzo, Albie Manzo, Christopher Manzo and Lauren Manzo dined Sept. 2 at Siena Tavern.
- Reality TV stars Giuliana and Bill Rancic were spotted Aug. 24 at Ramen-san.
- The Roots drummer Questlove was spotted Sept. 4 at Hub 51.
- Portugal. The Man and Twin Shadow had dinner separately Sept. 6 at Nellcote while here to perform at North Coast Music Festival.
