Sighting: 'Empire,' 'Chicago Fire' cast members take in Cirque du Soleil's Kurios

Aug. 10--I had "Chicago Fire" cast members sitting in front of me and "Empire" cast members sitting behind me Thursday at Cirque du Soleil's Kurios outside the United Center. While I was more interested in the show than the celeb sightings that night (I'm a big Cirque du Soleil fan), I did get a kick out of seeing the "Fire" actors and hearing the "Empire" actors dramatically react to what they were watching. Here are those sightings and a few more from around town:

- "Empire" co-stars Kaitlin Doubleday and Ta'Rhonda Jones and "Chicago Fire" co-stars Jesse Spencer, Eamonn Walker, Christian Stolte, Joe Minoso, Dora Madison Burge and Tony Ferraris attended Cirque du Soleil's Kurios. Minoso sat two rows in front of me and liked the show so much that he was the first person in the crowd to give it a much-deserved standing ovation.

- The Killers singer Brandon Flowers dined Saturday at RPM Italian. Lollapalooza co-creator Perry Farrell was spotted there Aug. 3.

- Billy Corgan dined Thursday at Hub 51. Fellow rocker Tommy Lee had drinks Thursday at Three Dots and a Dash. Disturbed singer David Draiman had dinner Saturday at Gibson's Bar and Steakhouse-Rosemont.

- Sophia Bush ("Chicago P.D.") was on hand for Neon Gold Records' Lolla after-party Aug. 2 at Soho House.

- Comedian Jim Gaffigan dined Tuesday at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria-Gold Coast.

- Charli XCX and Tove Lo partied together July 31 at Barrelhouse Flat. Fellow singer Joe Jonas was also there that night.

- Chance the Rapper played games Saturday at For The Win arcade and gastropub. Rapper Jake Miller hung out at Parliament following his show Tuesday at the House of Blues.

- FKA Twigs hung out Aug. 2 at The Underground.

- Blair Underwood ("LA Law") dined Friday at Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse-Chicago while in town to deliver the commencement speech at American InterContinental University's graduation ceremony Saturday at Navy Pier.

- Food Network personalities Marc Summers and Robert Irvine had dinner Wednesday at Eddie Merlot's Prime Aged Beef and Seafood in Burr Ridge.
