July 09--It's hard to keep track of which actors are in "Chiraq." It feels like we find out about a new cast member every week. That won't be an issue much longer with the movie scheduled to wrap Thursday, according to my colleague Nina Metz. Here's a look at where "Chiraq" actress Angela Bassett and director Spike Lee were spotted during the final week of filming and a few other sightings from around town. You didn't know Bassett was in Lee's film? See what I mean.
- Bassett dined with Table Fifty-Two chef Art Smith Monday at Shaw's Crab House and Tuesday at Table Fifty-Two. "We met years ago at Oprah's Legends Ball and again at Emeril's Delmonico (in New Orleans) while she was shooting 'American Horror Story,'" Smith said by email. "Angela and I were on a hot pursuit of BBQ oysters in New Orleans a year ago. She loves them. I asked Nathan at Shaw's to make her some being that they have great oysters ... She works out like crazy, but I know she likes being around me because it's a food fest."
- Lee dined at Lyfe Kitchen-Streeterville Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. Kevin Bacon was at that Lyfe Kitchen location Wednesday.
- U2 singer Bono hung out June 26 at Thalia Hall's downstairs bar, Punch House and June 30 at For The Win arcade and gastropub.
- Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell had dinner Monday at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab. "Empire" co-stars Trai Byers and Grace Gealey dined Tuesday at Joe's.
- Phish singer Trey Anastasio, NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton and members of The Avett Brothers and Umphrey's McGee attended a private party for friends and family of the Grateful Dead Sunday at III Forks.
- Michael Pena ("End of Watch") dined at The Local-Chicago before Saturday before hanging out at The Underground.
- Jon Seda ("Chicago P.D.") was spotted Sunday at IO Urban Roofscape at The Godfrey Hotel. Yuriy Sardarov ("Chicago Fire") had brunch Sunday at Table Fifty-Two.
- Billy Zane ("Titanic") watched the U.S. Women's National Team win the World Cup Sunday in Public Chicago Hotel's screening room. Jeff Perry ("Scandal") hung out Sunday in the hotel's bar.
- Kenya Moore ("The Real Housewives of Atlanta") partied Saturday at The Shrine.
