Sidney Jones says he “striving for perfection” and playing with a chip on his shoulder

Sidney Jones spent the bulk of the offseason dealing with critics and pundits who counted out the former Washington Huskies star who went on to become a second-round pick. After being counted out before the season started, Jones is once again starting at cornerback, but this training camp has been different.

Jones looks confident and has had spurts of dominance during those practice sessions. Recently when asked what’s different, Jones said he was “striving for perfection”, while playing with a “chip on his shoulders.”

Jones is primed to have a breakout season in 2019 and could lock down the cornerback spot permanently with Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills both taking their time returning from serious injuries.
