Sidney Crosby had a very tongue-in-cheek reaction to Kyler Murray wearing his jersey before win over Eagles

Walking into Philadelphia while wearing gear for a team from Pittsburgh is not something you’re supposed to easily be able to get away with.

I guess Kyler Murray didn’t get that memo, though.

The dude walked into the Eagles’ stadium wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby jersey ahead of the game. He then proceeded to pull off one of the most epic comebacks we’ve seen in the NFL so far this season while completely embarrassing a team everything thought was a Super Bowl contender.

In hindsight, we probably should’ve known the Cardinals were about to do what they did. Look at this guy, folks. Does this look like a guy who was worried about anything he was about to face to you?

No? Didn’t think so.

Crosby was asked about Murray wearing his jersey on Tuesday and he had a very tongue-in-cheek response to it. He didn’t have too much to say — only that he’d “love to hear the story” behind Murray’s choice there.

“I’d love to know the story behind it. I have somewhat of an idea, but it would be cool to hear the story behind it.”

So it’s unclear what Murray’s intentions were by wearing the jersey. There’s no connection there between the two of them.  The move just seemed to be a pretty obvious troll of Philadelphia sports — the Eagles in particular.

And if it was? He completely backed it up by playing the epic game he did. Salute to Murray. And shoutout to Crosby for inspiring such greatness. Cowboys and 49ers fans owe you one, champ.
