MANSA: After dreaded gangster Lawrance Bishnoi, the Punjab Police has got the transit remand of another noted gangster Jasdeep Singh Bhagwanpuria known as Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.
The Punjab Police counsel had approached the Patiala House court in Delhi for transit remand in the Shubhdep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moosewala murder case and the court sent him to a day transit remand. A team of Police had reached Delhi to take Bhagwanpuria to Mansa where he will be produced in the court to get his police remand.
It is being said that two of the shooters, involved in killing of Sidhu Moosewala, belonged to Bhagwanpuria's gang. Presently Jaggu Bhagwanpuria was lodged at Tihar Jail, Delhi.
A senior member of Special Investigations Team (SIT) investigating the Sidhu Moosewala murder case confirmed that transit remand has been obtained and he is being brought to Mansa where he will be produced in the court to get his police remand.
It is learnt that eight vehicles including bullet proof ones have been taken to Delhi to bring Bhagwanpuria to Punjab under tight security like Bishnoi. Security has also been beefed up around Mansa court where he will be brought.
Having started his career as a Kabaddi player but later turning into a gangster, 38-year-old Jaggu Bhagwanpuruia belongs to village Bhagwanpur near Batala and is said to be close to Lawrance Bishnoi. He is also an accused in Rana Kandhowalia murder case committed in Amritsar in August 2021.
As per sources, both Lawrance Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria could be in touch in conspiring the crime.
In the meanwhile, Wednesday marked the competition of a month of the gruesome killing of Sidhu Moosewala who was killed on May 29 at village Jawaharke near Mansa.
