Although many Bollywood celebs perform at weddings and no award function is complete without stars performing, actor Sidharth Malhotra prefers to stay out of this league to focus on films.
“I am not saying that it’s a conscious effort, it’s just that I am slightly more consumed with the films that I do and put in effort there. If my managers tell me about a performance, I tell them that it’s too close to shoot and I can’t prep. My priority right now is to work on myself and my acting abilities,” says Sidharth, who was last seen in the film Kapoor and Sons, which was appreciated by the audience.

“There is a lot that I have to learn as an actor and a lot that I still need to experience... Maybe I am just prioritising here,” he adds. The actor says that although he doesn’t have anything against these performances, it’s not something which he considers important at this stage. “It’s true that actors need to do a lot more than just act in films. But these things require a lot of juggling. To be part of these projects, I will need to free up some dates from my shooting schedules. But I have been working non-stop for quite some time now,” says Sidharth, who will be seen alongside actor Katrina Kaif in his next film.
