Sidcup crash: Woman, 33, dies in two-car smash in south-east London

A 33-year-old woman has died in a car crash in Sidcup, south-east London.

Paramedics, police and fire crews were called to the scene in Blackfen Road around 7.20pm on Monday to reports two cars had collided.

Despite the efforts of the emergency services the driver of one of the cars, a woman aged 33, died at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the second car stopped at scene and is helping the Met with their enquiries. They were not seriously injured.

Road closures were put in place while the scene was dealt with.

No arrests have been made.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or any motorists with dash cam footage to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574. Alternatively, call 101 quoting CAD 5757/16JAN23.
