Sick vandals daub 'graphic images' on war memorial in Falkirk

An investigation has started after sick yobs vandalised a War Memorial in Falkirk.

Cops say "depicting graphic images" and "profanities" were plastered over the statue on Main Street in Bonnybridge.

It's not known when it happened, but the incident was first reported to officers on Sunday January 24.

The national force took to Twitter asking for anyone with information to get in touch with them.

The offensive graffiti has been removed by Falkirk Council.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Daily Record: "We'd urge anyone with information to get in touch on 101, and quote reference number 1031 of 29th January."
