Sick thug screams disgusting 'threats to kill' into face of terrified young woman on early morning DART journey

A terrified young woman has been subjected to repeated harassment and disgusting threats to her life while travelling to work on a southside DART.

The woman, who is in her 20s, now fears for her safety travelling alone after she was twice confronted by the same man who has threatened to kill her and made other sickening comments.

The woman was heading to work on a train between Dalkey and Glasthule on Tuesday, October 6 when she was first approached by the man.

The woman claimed the twisted thug began to berate her, accusing her of carrying coronavirus.

He also made threats against her life, claiming that he would kill her.

The woman's worried partner told Dublin Live she was extremely upset following the horrific encounter.

He said: "My partner was obviously extremely disturbed by this, the man made these threats directly to her face, even standing up from his seat to do so.

"And berated her as he exited the DART at Glasthule. My partner informed Irish Rail but merely received an apology for her experience."

The woman has been so scared since the distressing experience that she has made sure she doesn't sit alone on the train on her way into work.

But that didn't save her from once again being intimidated by the same man on Friday who also abused the woman she was sitting opposite, insulting their appearance and demanding they pay him attention.

Her partner said: "Obviously this is more tame than the original incident but still very nerve-wracking for my partner to experience after the original incident.

"This time my partner texted the anti social DART number but received a text back that it was for anti social reports only, which seems exactly what this kind of incident entailed."

The couple have since reported the harrowing incidents to gardai.

The woman's partner added: "It is truly disgusting that still in this day and age young women can't simply use public transport without fear for their own safety because of weird male loners making such deplorable threats."

Dublin Live has contacted Irish Rail and An Garda Siochana for comment.
