A manhunt has been launched after a sick thug battered a teenager and then tried to rob him in a Scots town.
The 15-year-old boy was on St Andrews Drive, in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, around 9.30pm last night when he was assaulted by who also tried to steal property from him.
The child escaped injury but cops have issued a description of the man and have stepped up patrols in the local area.
He man is described as wearing a black top and grey bottoms.
Detective Constable Tracy Loughhead from Ellon CID said: "Thankfully no-one was injured during this incident and enquiries are ongoing.
“Our officers have carried out a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV and going door to door, however we would appeal to anyone who has any knowledge of the incident or any information which may assist to contact us.
“In particular, I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the suspect to come forward and assist our enquiries."
