A remorseless rapist who abused his child victim for over two years ranted "she'll get what she deserves".
Peter Edwards went on the sick tirade during a probation interview adding that he "hated" his victim, the Liverpool Echo reports.
He was found guilty on July 12 this year, having repeatedly raped the teenager over the two year period in Warrington.
The court heard how Edwards would tell the girl that she was "helping" him and would continue to rape the child even after she asked him to stop the behaviour.
Charlotte Kenny, prosecuting, reading from a victim personal statement, said the girl had suffered with depression and anxiety to such an extent that she had to be taken to A&E with severe anxiety attacks.
Ms Kenny said the girl had an "overall loss of confidence" and feelings of "embarrassment" and "shame".
Richard Conley, defending, said it was a "difficult and sad case" and asked the judge to consider totality.
Edwards, of Kenworthy Lane, Wythenshawe, Manchester, has no previous convictions.
Judge David Swinnerton, sentencing, said: "I can see you over the video link when you raise your eyebrows and shake your head.
"That doesn't surprise me because there's not a shred of remorse for what you have done."
Citing a pre-sentence report the judge said Edwards had "no victim empathy" and "when asked how the victim would feel said 'I don't care'".
The author of the report said: "I was taken aback by his comments."
Edwards told the probation officer "I hate her" in relation to his victim and said "she has taken everything from me".
The judge said: "You took, in effect, her childhood by sexually abusing her."
Judge Swinnerton noted Edwards said in the report "She'll get what she deserves" and "What goes around comes around".
The judge said the comments were "deeply troubling".
Edwards was jailed for 18 years and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life.
He was also ordered to adhere to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
