Sick 'Munich 58' graffiti covered up outside Goodison Park

Everton staff were quick to cover up graffiti daubed on a wall outside Goodison Park making reference to the 1958 Munich air disaster.

The slogan, which simply said "Munich 58," was found ahead of Everton's home tie against Manchester United today.

Eight United players and three members of staff died when a plane crashed shortly after take-off from a Munich runway.

More graffiti was also found close by, simply reading 'LFC'.

The ECHO understands club staff quickly worked on covering the offensive graffiti, but Everton FC did not wish to comment on the incident.
