Love Island 's Maura Higgins has been branded a "racist" and an "IRA bomber" in sickening abuse for saying current contestant Nas "isn't sexy".
The Irish beauty, 29, was on Aftersun last night talking about the new contestants and declared she wouldn't have picked any of the boys.
She said: "There's not actually [anyone who gives me fanny flutters]. I would't have stepped forward for any of those guys.
"But I'm the type, I need to get to know them a lot longer as I do go on personality more than anything."
Maura was later asked about Nas and his relationship with Siannise, and insisted she can't blame her for friend zoning him so early on.
She said: "Do you blame her really? He's a nice guy, but you're not going to be like 'Oh my Jesus!'
"He's not sexy, she obviously just wants a really sexy man. Just being a good dude doesn't cut it."
However, her comments infuriated viewers and attracted the wrath of trolls, who flooded Maura's Twitter with awful comments.
One particularly nasty troll branded Maura "racist" in a grossly offensive tweet about her Irish roots.
The troll wrote: "Maura saying nas isn’t sexy but shes dating Curtis who is clearly... a beta male ....this IRA bomber needs to chill with the racism #LoveIsland ."
Another tweeted: "You gonna pull up on maura for saying nas isn’t sexy? The racist undertones on these shows are peak."
A third added: "What’s with all the racist undertones on this show? Why did maura say nas isn’t sexy but is dating this [Curtis Pritchard]..."
One more stated: "Maura has a lot to say about nas not being sexy / attractive / hot / a “manly man” considering she’s dating this guy lol."
