Sick kids at The Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow treated to a special screening of Toy Story 4

Glasgow's sick kids had a special screening of Toy Story 4 to brighten their day - and even a visit from the toys themselves.

Staff and patients at the Royal Hospital for Children in the south side were pleasantly surprised to receive a visit from Woody, Buzz and Bo Peep.

The much-characters from Toy Story 4 popped by to say hello to families at the cinema and helped bring the children's play time to life.

The children played alongside Buzz and Woody and even took part in some balloon making and glitter tattoos to round off the day.

Following festivities, the kids were able to watch the film before making their way back to the wards with the support of MediCinema volunteers and nurses.

Harry McCallum aged nine, who is pictured with his gran Meg, said of the day:  "I've been in since January and I go to the MediCinema every week and I love it! The person tonight made me a balloon cowboy hat and sword and they were really great - it only took them two seconds!"

Megan Edgar, mum of Oscar aged four, said: " It is very difficult taking Oscar to the normal cinema because of his needs and all the tubes. You don't get judged here. It is so welcoming and everyone is in the same situation. We've been in the hospital for four years and this is the only normal thing we have."
