The family of a woman have been left "devastated" after sick thieves nicked a memorial plaque from a Falkirk grave.
Annie Cochrane, 76, passed away following a period of ill health during lockdown in June 2020.
The black marble plaque at Muiravonside Cemetery, which has both Annie and her son Wayne's names on it, cost around £600 and is believed to have vanished sometime between December 2021 and Saturday March 26 this year.
Her granddaughter, Adele Imrie, 36, has hit out at those responsible and is pleading for them to urgently return the sentimental item.
She told Falkirk Live: "We are absolutely devastated and don't understand why anyone would steal something like this.

"My Papa noticed it had vanished on Mother's Day when he visited the cemetery - he always goes up on special occasions.
"His mum and dad are buried just along from my Nana, so he walked along there just incase it had been moved for some reason, but it wasn't there.
"We've had a walk about the graveyard, just incase someone moved it or thrown it somewhere nearby but we couldn't see it.
"It's made of marble and heavy, so not easy to be moved about."
"Unfortunately there's no CCTV within the cemetery, so there's not much staff there can do. The police are now investigating, so hopefully we get it back.
"If anyone has it, or spots it, please get in touch with Muiravonside Cemetery.
"We are all very upset. My dad is gutted."
"A man called Will Sinclair offered to make a replacement plaque for us. I would like to thank him for his kind gesture."
Police Scotland say they are looking into what has happened and are asking anyone with information to contact them on 101.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Enquiries are ongoing following the theft of a headstone from Muiravonside Cemetery, Falkirk, which was reported to police around 3.35pm on Sunday, 27 March, 2022."
