A sick flasher has been sentenced after exposing himself to a mother and child at a Scots railway station.

Robert Black was arrested by the British Transport Police after the horrific incident happened at Uphall Station in West Lothian on Thursday, May 27 at around 2.25pm.

The 60-year-old, from Whiteside in Bathgate, was charged by cops for sexual exposure.

At Livingston Sheriff Court, Black pled guilty to a reduced charge of public indecency on Tuesday, July 6.

He was sentenced to 356 days imprisonment, reduced to 328 days due to time served.

He is also subject to Protection of Vulnerable Groups Disclosure and was placed on the Sex Offender Register for 10 more years.

BTP Detective Constable Crawford Gillies said: “Unwanted sexual behaviour will not be tolerated on the rail network.

"Everyone has the right to travel on the network and in stations without being subjected to this unacceptable behaviour.

“We work closely with our rail industry colleagues to make sure your journey remains safe and free from harassment or abuse.

“If you need us on your journey, please text us on 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40. In an emergency always call 999.”
