Teacher sent paedophile boyfriend photos of pupils

A deputy headteacher sent photos of schoolchildren to her paedophile boyfriend to feed his "insatiable appetite".

Julie Morris and David Morris filmed themselves jointly raping a young girl, abuse a judge said was "almost beyond belief".

The couple laughed about the abuse in vile WhatsApp messages and Julie Morris "giggled" on camera.

They were caught out after David Morris, 52, from Eccleston, St Helens, sent indecent photos to another paedophile online.

Julie Morris, 44, worked at St George's Central Primary School in Tyldesley, Wigan, where she was the "safeguarding lead".

Man found with deep face cut in JD Sports rushed to hospital

A man found with a deep face cut in Liverpool One's JD Sports was rushed to hospital.

Merseyside Police were called to Paradise Street in Liverpool One at around 6.30pm on Wednesday, December 22 following reports of an incident.

It's believed the man, who is in his 20s, suffered a laceration to his face on Paradise Street before running into the nearby JD Sports following the assault.

The man was rushed to hospital for treatment by the North West Ambulance Service. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police sealed off a section of JD Sports' ground floor while they dealt with the incident.

Funeral for Ava White, 12, to be held

A funeral for a 12-year-old schoolgirl who was stabbed to death following a Christmas lights switch-on is due to be held in Liverpool.
Ava White died after she was knifed in the city centre on November 25.

She was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital after the attack at about 8.30pm, but later died from "catastrophic injuries", police said.

The funeral is being held at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral at 10am on Thursday.

In a statement released by Merseyside Police, Ava's dad said: "We would like to say thank you to everybody for their ongoing support during this devastating time.

"Thank you to every one of you for your kind messages and donations."
