Sibling rivalry: Quincy and Quinnen Williams considering a big-time bet for Jets-Jags’ game

This past April was a special month for both Quinnen Williams and Quincy Williams as both siblings found themselves getting drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft. Quinnen, who is the younger brother amongst the two, was drafted in the first round by the New York Jets with the No. 3 overall pick, while Quincy was taken a day later by the Jags in the third-round. From that point on, both players likely mark their calendars for Oct. 27 as it marked the date in which both players would play each other.

Fast-forward to present day, and the brothers are now just days away from their first meeting against each other. To make things a little more interesting, the two have a potential bet in place for the winner, and it’s one in which a pink slip could be on the line.

Yes, you heard him right. There might be a Corvette Z06 on the line.

The Williams brothers could be waiting to see the status of Quincy, who is currently on the injury report with a hamstring issue. He sustained the injury during Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals and didn’t practice Wednesday. He’s also projected not to practice Thursday either. That said, if he can’t play he might be debating whether he should bet on his comrades getting the job done as they are currently 5.5-point favorites.

The two couldn’t go off history if they wanted because the series record between the Jets and Jags is knotted up at 7-7. However, when looking at the recent meetings between the two teams, the Jets have won two of three meetings (2015 and 2017) that have occurred within the last five years. However, the Jags were able to win the last meeting between the two in 2018 by a convincing score of 31-12. If Quincy is feeling like the Jags can replicate that success, maybe he should test his luck.
