New Zealand artist Michael Tuffrey has collaborated with the Royal Samoan police band to create Siamani Samoa, a large-scale live performance work. Coinciding with the 100 year centenary of the end of Germany’s rule of Samoa, the work explores the colonial administration of the country in the early 20th century, and its ongoing impact in contemporary Samoa.
