Sia reveals she adopted two 18-year-old boys last year

Sia has revealed she adopted two 18-year-old boys who were “ageing out of the foster care system”.

Speaking to Sirius XM’s The Morning Mash Up, the Australian singer, 44, confirmed she had adopted the two boys in 2019.

“I love them,” she said, saying the boys were both now 19.

In quarantine together, Sia said her sons are “both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other.”

"But they're both doing things that are really good for them right now, that are really helpful. They're really doing a lot of educational stuff that's good for them."

Sia had publicly expressed her will to adopt children before, tweeting last year that she wanted to adopt Dasani from the HBO documentary Foster.

It is not known whether one of her sons is Dasani, but she did confirm to GQ in January that she had adopted one son.

In that story, a profile on the music producer Diplo, Sia revealed she had decided to be single for the rest of her life.

“Much of our relationship is just being spent trying not to have sex so that we wouldn't ruin our business relationship, because he's super-duper hot,” Sia said.

“This year I wrote him a text, and I said, ‘Hey, listen, you're like one of five people that I'm sexually attracted to, and now that I've decided to be single for the rest of my life and I just adopted a son, I don't have time for a relationship.… If you're interested in some no-strings sex, then hit me up.’ ”
