Si Woo Kim is making putts at the Masters with a wood after shattering his putter

You don’t often see golfers taking putts with a wood, but that’s exactly what Si Woo Kim had to do at the Masters on Friday after an unfortunate series of events.

On hole No. 14 at Augusta National, with Kim tied for fifth at -4, the golfer broke his putter in an angry outburst at his three-putt performance. Given his standing within the top ten at the Masters, the frustration was warranted, but had an unfortunate side effect as Kim was unable to use his putter in the upcoming holes.

Here’s how the shattering of his putter took place after not getting the putts he wanted.

From there on out to finish his round, Kim had to use his fairway wood to get the job done on putts, prompting an unusual sight at the Masters.

It does look so strange to see a golfer use his fairway wood with the large, round head to take short puts instead of longer drives. You gotta make do with what you’ve got, however, and hopefully Kim is able to finish his round on Friday without much issue the rest of the way.
