Si Ferry queries Eddie Howe's Celtic suitability as pundit claims job 'would hit him like a ton of bricks'

Si Ferry reckons the Celtic job would hit Eddie Howe "like a ton of bricks".

The Open Goal host and Peterhead midfielder has questioned the former Bournemouth boss' suitability to take the top job at Parkhead.

Howe has emerged as a fan favourite choice to replace Neil Lennon but Ferry isn't convinced.

He suspects the 43-year-old would struggle to deal with the relentless pressure in Glasgow, remarking that "walks on the beach with his family" would be a thing of the past.

"But the thing with Eddie Howe is, I've said it before," Ferry said on Go Radio.

"Eddie Howe managed Bournemouth and done a good job getting them to the Premier League.

"Listen, I've heard interviews with Eddie Howe, he's got his philosophies and ways of playing.

"I've also heard an interview where he likes to walk on the beach with his family on a Sunday. He will not get that in Glasgow.

"This job will hit Eddie Howe like a ton of bricks

"I've played at Bournemouth, it's one of the quietest stadiums."

"I don't think being Celtic manager comes down to tactics, you need to have personality."
