The shutters are down at Nottingham's former Mothercare store after the collapsed high street chain closed all its branches.
A sign thanking customers has been placed in the window of the unit at the Castle Meadow Retail Park.
Mothercare collapsed into administration last year as it struggled to compete with online shopping.
In May it had managed to agree a restructuring deal, but it was forced to appoint administrators in November as it was unable to keep afloat.
Nelson Blackley, retail research associate at Nottingham Business School, previously told Nottinghamshire Live: "Mothercare lacked sufficient authority in any core product area and has failed to build the service offering that a specialist needs to distance itself from generalists.

"The need to cut costs stopped any in-store investment, which in turn leads to a progressively shrinking business.
"Mothercare faced stiff competition from supermarkets that sell their own brand childrenswear such as Asda through its George range and Tesco.
"Fashion retailers such as Next fashion retailers Primark and H&M both sell babywear ranges, and Amazon continues to dominate the toys market."
In recent months the chain had slashed prices on its products across its 79 stores, including Nottingham.
Over the weekend (January 11-12), up to 80 percent off products were offered to customers.
All the UK stores closed on Sunday, January 12, with 2,500 jobs lost.
