
Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry has discussed with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov means to advance bilateral relations and a number of regional issues.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Ahmed Hafez stated that the two ministers emphasized in a phone conversation on Friday the ties between Egypt and Russia, and the importance of developing them, especially in economy and trade.
“The call also tackled a number of bilateral issues and ways to advance them, affirming the importance of continuing coordination in order to achieve both sides’ interests,” said Hafez.
Shoukry and Lavrov also exchanged views on the rapid developments in the region.
They asserted that they would continue to coordinate to follow up on several issues and bolster bilateral relations, the spokesperson added.
