Shrewsbury Town hit back at Piers Morgan jibe after FA Cup comeback forces Liverpool replay

Liverpool will need to win a replay against Shrewsbury Town at Anfield if they are to progress into the fifth round of the FA Cup this season after squandering a two-goal lead on Sunday afternoon.

And while the Reds were disappointed to add an extra game to their already packed schedule, Sam Ricketts' side have drawn plenty of plaudits for their comeback.

Piers Morgan was not impressed with the result, though, as he pointed out that Jurgen Klopp had made a plethora of changes to his usual starting XI.

Youngsters Neco Williams, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott all played, while Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino came off the bench late on.

On a day when Shrewsbury were widely praised for their fight and desire, the club's Twitter account was not best pleased with the comments.

Both teams will be in the hat for tonight's FA Cup fifth round draw which takes place ahead of Arsenal's game with Bournemouth.
