Shrewsbury Town manager Steve Cotterill has insisted that the previous FA Cup meeting with Liverpool of two years ago is 'irrelevant' heading into tomorrow's fixture at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp's side were taken to a fourth-round replay against the League One side after being held to a 2-2 draw at Montgomery Waters Meadow, though ran out 1-0 victors at home to avoid a humiliating cup upset.
Liverpool fielded their youngest-ever starting-eleven on home soil and seal progressed to the next round of the competition courtesy of a Ro-Shaun Williams own goal.

When the sides meet again this weekend, there are likely to be few similarities from the Shrewsbury side that went in search of a famous Anfield win in 2020.
Former manager Sam Ricketts has been replaced by Cotterill, meanwhile just four players from the 18-man matchday squad remain with the Shrews from their previous Merseyside visit.
And it's for this reason that their current manager does not want to dwell too much on their past cup exit and is instead asking for a fresh perspective.
"That memory - I wouldn't know anyway, so I'm not taking that memory to this game," he told the Shropshire Star.
"You can't measure it anyway, because it's not going to be the same team at either end.
"We just have to prepare the team as we would. We have great respect for Liverpool Football Club, they've had some brilliant players, some have come through the system and done well and others have been experienced.
"The fact Shrewsbury - by the sounds of what you're saying - didn't go up there and do themselves justice, it's really irrelevant to me.
"This is (almost a) completely different team, different manager and different scenario, we didn't have the Covid issue to deal with - neither did Liverpool - games are completely separate. No two games are the same," added Cotterill.
"Let's just wait and see what happens on Sunday and how the game pans out."
