Shrek to be screened at outdoor cinema in southside this summer

Shrek is being screened at this outdoor cinema in the southside this summer.

The Dreamworks film that spawned a thousand memes is to be shown at Pollok House on Sunday June 30.

The film follows reclusive ogre Shrek on an adventure to reclaim his swamp after it's invaded by annoying fairytale characters, who have been banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad.

It'll be fun for all the family with hot food, drinks and alcohol available (subject to licensing) on the night.

As it's an open-air screening, you're encouraged to dress for the conditions – though organisers have a contingency plan in place for poor weather. So pull up a boulder (or deckchair) and enjoy!
