It doesn’t matter that Shrek is 20 years old at this point. What you are about to watch will floor you, which was my reaction.
Someone on TikTok noticed a detail that probably escaped 99 percent of the DreamWorks movie’s viewers: he saw the three bears (as in Goldilocks) captured by Lord Farquaad, but only Papa and Baby Bear came back.
So … what happened to Mama Bear?
You’re not going to like the answer. Much later on in the movie, you see inside Lord Farquaad’s room and … well, I really don’t want to spoil it for you, just go down here and watch for yourself and we can discuss after.

Snopes confirmed this was true and quoted an interview with director Andrew Adamson, who said this:
“The anything-goes attitude accounts for such hard-to-catch jokes as the rug that covers Lord Farquaad’s bedroom floor. Asks Adamson: Did you notice it was bearskin? And wearing a pink bow? It’s Mama Bear.” In later scenes, Papa Bear is shown consoling Baby Bear.”
AAAAAAAAA!!! I will never watch this movie the same ever again.
