Showtrial: Where is the BBC drama filmed?

A new drama is coming to the BBC this Halloween weekend as audiences delve into the world of a high-power and exclusive court case.

Showtrial, starring Cleo Roberts and Celine Buckens, will follow the court case of university student Talitha Campbell and her possible involvement in the disappearance of her fellow student Hannah Elli.

Talitha is the daughter of a powerful and rich property developer, whereas Hannah is from a working-class family, and the drama will explore how her high-profile background affects the court case.

The series was shot and filmed in Bristol with a specially made fairground constructed on the University of Bristol's campus in April this year.

This fairground background will be used for flashback scenes as audiences try to piece together if Talitha is involved or not in Hannah's mysterious disappearance and possible murder.

Other parts of the series were shot at The Bottle Yard Studios in south Bristol and the episodes will be an hour-long each.

Showtrial will begin this weekend on Sunday, October 31 and then a further four episodes will be aired weekly after that.

The series has been made by the same producers of Line of Duty and Bodyguard, promising to bring drama and suspense to the courtroom.

Showtrail begins Sunday, October 31 on BBC1 at 9pm.
