Showcase of independent Leeds designers aims to put city on map

Leeds Fashion Show's 'Dress Me Beautiful' is back for the fifth year on Tuesday 19 October at Leeds City Museum.

Tickets have now sold out with more than a week to go and the glamorous themed event - sponsored by Virtual FD Accountants, Peroni and Dine catering - is set to attract individuals from far and wide to see a mixture of established and up and coming fashionistas, showcase their most successful creations.

Designers on the night will include Kelly Ann Couture and Samantha Davy alongside Leeds based boutiques; Accent and Chimp.

Tanya Vital and Luis Barca will host the event, whilst Evel Gottshalk, an up-and-coming vocalist from Leeds, and the electrifying violinist Caroviolina will both provide entertainment on the night.

An auction and raffle on the night will see proceeds donated to the Education for the Children Charity. Ambassadors of this charity include England and Manchester City footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips and R&B singer/song writer Taio Cruz.

'We want to get Leeds on the map!'

The LFS team, namely Sherelle Davidson, Anjula Davidson, Anita Ford, Pebbles Bowen, Sarah Wood and Misty Granger and myself have been working tooth and nail to make sure that this year's show is one to remember.

We are aiming to be bigger and better each year; we want to get Leeds on the map!

Our overall mission is to attract attention to the creative talent we have in the north, while at the same time opening opportunities for fashion-related business development.

Through this we aim to widen the network of the fashion textile businesses by assisting in promotion and development.

We believe that Leeds has a missing link for individuals after higher education in the fashion industry and Leeds Fashion Show aspires to bridge that gap!
