Volunteering is a great way to kickstart your career, make contacts and dedicate your time to a worthy cause. It's also a chance for young jobseekers or career changers to enhance and learn new skills.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Volunteers' Week, which runs from the 1 to the 7 June 2014. So, we want you to share a photo or video (up to two minutes long) and tell us why you've got the best volunteering role going. We've included some pictures below to give you ideas, but anything (within reason) goes!
Whether you've taken up something new for Volunteers' Week, it's your career, or you've been doing it alongside your job, we'd love to see what you've been up to.
Please note: we cannot accept any videos which have music in, so please don't include any. If there are children under the age of 16 in your photo or video, we will also need parental consent – please note this in description when you send your contribution.
We will choose our favourites to include in an article on the Guardian Careers site and share on social media.
Share your pictures now by clicking on one of the blue 'contribute' buttons or, if you're out and about, you can download the GuardianWitness app on your smartphone.
• GuardianWitness is the home of user-generated content on the Guardian. Contribute your video, pictures and stories, and browse news, reviews and creations submitted by others. Posts will be reviewed prior to publication on GuardianWitness, and the best pieces will feature on the Guardian site.
