Show us Pokémon Legends Z-A running on Switch 1 you cowards!

Ever since Pokémon Legends Z-A was confirmed to be a Nintendo Switch 2 edition title alongside the Nintendo Switch version of the game, The Pokémon Company has only been showing us gameplay and trailers of the game running on the new system.

And while that is all well and good, because The Pokémon Company wants to show off their big holiday Pokémon game looking pretty and running better than Scarlet and Violet at launch could ever hope to be. The lack of Nintendo Switch gameplay since the Switch 2's announcement has been pretty painful to watch.

Let's be honest. The Nintendo Switch install base is far greater than the Nintendo Switch 2. A lot of people can't afford to pay for a Nintendo Switch 2 currently, alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 verison of Legends Z-A, so a lot of people this holiday season are likely going to buying the game on the original Nintendo Switch (and likely paying for the upgrade fee in the future when they can afford the new system). Hence, it only feels right to showcase what the game looks and runs like on the Nintendo Switch, on top of the Switch 2 version, so trainers know what they are getting themselves into.

It's also important to see how different both versions are, in case the framerate for Z-A is so bad on the original Switch that it's worth waiting to get the upgraded version. It feels like Game Freak has something to hide, and I believe showing the original Switch version would help people make an informed decision about the game. This could even lead to more Switch 2 sales if the game is just better in every way compared to the new console.

I know I'm going on and on right now. But I feel like we need to see more about the Switch 1 version of the game to get a grasp at how it performs, and how much better the Switch 2 version is, so we can make an informed decision which copy of the game to get. Or you can get both for the sake of owning both, I guess.
