Show How Creative You Can Get With Personalised Plates & It Could End Up On A Billboard
Oi Queenslanders: have you seen those billboards with creative number plates yet?
They’re popping up around the state, and I, for one, am obsessed. There’s nothing more entertaining on a drive than spotting a fun number plate, but now, they’re on billboards too!

PPQ (Personalised Plates Queensland) call them PL8 Statements. In a nutshell, it’s where there’s a line with quirky number plate combinations being used as words. Think tongue-in-cheek jokes or iconic Aussie references, and you’re on the money.
Now, PPQ are inviting Queenslanders far and wide to submit their funniest PL8 Statements with the opportunity to have them end up on one of PPQ’s big, bold and bright billboards. In other words, it’s the ultimate selfie opp for you and a mate.
Keep in mind: the more creative you are, the more likely you are to get chosen — so think out of the box for this one. Give it your all and submit yours here.
Just in case you’re curious, this one’s my personal fave.

(It’s parmi, by the way).
So, now’s the time to prove that you’re one of the funniest in the state.
To give you some inspo, I asked my co-workers for their best PL8 Statements. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by their creativity, and definitely let out a chuckle or two.

PL8 Statements
Me: “Pavlova is AUS5IE, not K1W1” (and I stand by it).
Pam, from Content: “How did the HMBRGR introduce her wife? Meat P4TTY.” Now that’s comedy.
Tara, from Projects: “Here’s to the P4SSNGR PRNCSSZ forced to drive.” Same, girl.
Adam, from Video: “What came first, the CHKN or the 3GG?” It’s an age-old question, and somehow even more iconic when it’s on a number plate.
Tom, from Editorial: “You’re a ST4R if you host your own car C0NC3RT.” Just call me Hannah Montana.
And Jas, our Content Manager, decided to start beef: “BR1SVGZ or G0LD13?”
Oop.

Think you can do better? Prove it: flex those creative muscles and submit your PL8 Statements here so yours could potentially end up on a billboard.* Look at it this way: it’s the perfect addition the next time you’re forced to come up with two truths and a lie.
May the best PL8 Statements win.
GDLCK!
