People living on an estate where a man died after being punched at a social club say they heard 'shouting and screaming' beforehand.
Paul Ologbose was attacked at the Kensington Tavern on the Higher Folds estate, in Leigh, in the early hours of Sunday morning (January 23).
The 57-year-old was hit with a single blow to the head in an 'altercation' at about 1.55am, detectives say.

He was rushed to hospital with a critical head injury, but died that afternoon.
A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
One woman, who lives close to the social club, said she was awoken by her daughter, who told her there was 'loads of shouting' outside.
She said she then looked out of her window and saw a man standing in the doorway of the club.
"He threw a punch at someone and he fell," she added.
"People just started swarming around him.
"Everyone parted and moved away. Someone was shouting 'get off him, get off him'.

"It looked pretty bad. He was lay on the kerb and people were trying to resuscitate him.
"It was awful to see."
Hollie Collins, who also lives near to the scene, said she went outside after hearing 'a commotion'.
"I heard a lot of shouting and screaming," she explained.
"At first, I thought it might just be a normal fight.
"I came out and there was a load of people in the car park, then the police and ambulance turned up.
"I saw the guy on the floor and the paramedics were rushing over.
"I'm shocked. It feels like a bad dream."
Residents said police taped off the social club, in Kensington Drive, following the incident and remained at the scene throughout Sunday.
Detectives say they are pursuing several lines of investigation - including speaking to those at the social club, and reviewing CCTV in the area.
Detective Superintendent Rebecca Boyce, of GMP's Wigan district, said: "A man has horrendously lost his life after suffering a serious head injury that we believe was sustained from one punch during an altercation on a night out.
"It's a shocking and distressing time for Paul's family and we will do what we can to support them through our ongoing investigation.
"We have a suspect in custody who is being interviewed in relation to Paul's death, but it's vital we capture the full circumstances of this awful incident, and I therefore implore anyone with information to do the right thing and get in touch."
