Should Vikings show interest in new free agent T.J. Lang?

The Lions released two-time Pro Bowl guard T.J. Lang last week, thus making Lang a free agent.

The Vikings need help on the offensive line. This you likely know if you watched the team for more than a possession.

Lang ranked as the league’s 11th overall guard last season, and fourth in pass-blocking per Pro Football Focus.

Could Lang be a fit on the Vikings? The Vikings would to clear some cap room. They have just under $5 million available, but there are plenty of possible cap casualties on this team that could open up some room.

Lang, 31, is contemplating retirement now.

With Lang playing for the Packers and Lions, it makes sense for him to remain in the NFC North, a division he’s familiar with.

We’ll likely hear more on the Lang front once the 2019 season officially starts on March 13.
