Should there be a snap general election? Share your thoughts as Boris Johnson's cabinet collapses

It has been a stormy 24 hours at Downing Street after two senior cabinet ministers and multiple government staff resigned from Boris Johnson's government. Rishi Sunak, Sajid Javid, Will Quince and more have resigned from the PMs team - with more throwing in the towel as the day continues.

There have been calls for a general election to take place following these resignations, with the leader of the opposition saying the government is "collapsing". Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said Boris Johnson is "unfit to govern" and that he would support a general election if one was called.

The last few months have been turbulent for the Prime Minister, after a vote of no confidence, partygate, the Sue Gray report and the Chris Pincher row. The PM won the confidence vote in June meaning he is safe for another year - unless rules are changed.

Following the exit of two senior cabinet ministers last night, the PM was quick to re-shuffle his cabinet. Nadhim Zahawi has been appointed the new Chancellor of the Exchequer and Steve Barclay is the new Health Secretary, replacing Sajid Javid.

Despite multiple bumps in the road, Boris Johnson is determined to keep his position as PM with a No 10 source saying that he will "deliver what he promised to the people." However, calls are being made for a general election to take place as more supporters are beginning to lose hope in the prime minister.

We want to hear your thoughts about the No 10 resignations. Should there be a snap general election or does Boris need to deliver what he promised to the UK?
