Should the Vikings be interested in WR Danny Amendola?

We’ve discussed it more than a few times on this site, but we can all agree that the Vikings should be in the market for a third wide receiver behind Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.

Entering the pool of candidates could be Danny Amendola, who was recently a cap casualty of the Dolphins.

Amendola, 33, caught 59 passes for 575 yards and a touchdown with the Dolphins last season.

It feels like he’d be a good fit on the Vikings. He’s a smart player and at the WR3 spot, the Vikings don’t need a flashy player, just a consistent one.

He’s a possession receiver, which is perfect with guys like Thielen and Diggs.

Given his age and other receivers on the market, it feels like the Vikings could get Amendola on clearance. And that’s good news for a team with less than $5 million in cap space.

The Vikings need an upgrade over Laquon Treadwell. Amendola could be it.
