Should the Titans consider center John Sullivan?

The Tennessee Titans had their fair share of struggles across the offensive line in 2018, and have made use of the offseason to make some changes.

But there is still more the team could do through the third wave of free agency.

One addition the team could make is center John Sullivan.

Sullivan is a veteran, and may only have a couple of seasons left in him. It’s highly probable that he would be a decent upgrade over current center Ben Jones, though.

He’s started 125 games and appeared in 153 over a nine-season career. He played seven seasons for the Minnesota Vikings, one for the Washington Redskins and two with the Los Angeles Rams.

He also has the edge because he already has experience with newly acquired Titans offensive guard Rodger Saffold, who he was a part of a successful Rams offense with.

With this, the Titans’ offensive line as a whole could instantly gel better and make some upward progress in 2019.

If the Titans do pick up Sullivan and give him the spot at center over Jones, they could move Jones to right guard, obviously keep Lewan at left tackle and leave right tackle open for competition between Dennis Kelly and Jack Conklin.

Depending upon how camp plays out, it’s also possible that third-round pick Nate Davis could break into the starting lineup within the offensive line as well.

It will be interesting to see if the Titans make the move to sign Sullivan, and which types of shifts they make within the unit ahead of the upcoming season.
