At the end of the NFL regular season, former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell didn’t get a ringing endorsement from New York Jets head coach Adam Gase about Bell coming back next season. We all know Bell doesn’t like to play for a team who he thinks does appreciate him so who knows what his future might hold.
If the Jets decide Bell isn’t part of their future plans, could the Steelers be buyers in a trade? That’s today’s question.
Bell finished the 2019 season with 789 rushing yards on 245 carries. This is the worst statistical season of Bell’s career that didn’t involve a suspension or a significant injury.
With the Steelers, Bell set the standard for an all-purpose running back. But money ended up forcing the two sides to part ways. But maybe after a year of seeing things are always better when you make a move the two sides could reconcile and Bell could fix the Steelers’ problems at running back. Pittsburgh is likely to land a third-round pick as compensation for Bell signing with the Jets. Maybe that is the pick that will bring him back.
