Should the Steelers put in a waiver claim on RB Mike Davis?

NFL reporter Ian Rapoport is reporting the Chicago Bears are waiving running back Mike Davis. Similar to the Pittsburgh Steelers with wide receiver Donte Moncrief, the Bears signed Davis as a free agent but is waiving him to help with their compensatory pick formula.

Davis came over to the Bears from the Seattle Seahawks after rushing for 514 yards on 112 carries in addition to 214 receiving yards. Davis is a powerful, low-to-the-ground back with some skills. At only 26 years old he should see plenty of interest but should Pittsburgh put in a claim?

Right now the Steelers are running a skeleton crew at running back. James Conner and Benny Snell Jr. continue to miss time with injuries leaving only Jaylen Samuels and Trey Edmunds making up the depth chart. Even starting fullback Roosevelt Nix has struggled to stay healthy.
