Should the Broncos re-sign defensive lineman Zach Kerr?

Denver Broncos defensive lineman Zach Kerr is among the team’s players that will become free agents when the new league year begins in March. Should the team give him a contract extension?

Kerr, 28, signed a two-year, $3.25 million contract with the Broncos in 2017. He was unable to win a starting job in Denver but Kerr was a quality rotational defensive lineman, recording 52 tackles and two sacks over the last two years.

Given that he was not a starter and did not post huge stats, Kerr could likely be re-signed at a reasonable salary. Unless there’s an unexpectedly large market for the defensive tackle/end, the Broncos could probably bring him back on a team-friendly deal.

With that being the case, Denver should consider extending Kerr on a short-term contract. He’s probably not starter quality, but Kerr provides nice depth and helps keeps the team’s defensive line fresh as a sub.

What do you think, Broncos fans? Should the team re-sign Kerr? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below:
