Should Redskins reunite with Pierre Garcon if he hits free agency?

While the Washington Redskins desperately need help at wide receiver, it sounds like old friend Pierre Garcon might get cut by the San Francisco 49ers

A new report says the 49ers aren’t picking up Garcon’s option for next season:

This one wasn’t hard to see coming, as the 49ers weren’t going to dole out about $6 million in bonuses for the 32-year-old wideout.

But the Redskins are a different story.

Garcon fizzled out in San Francisco, appearing in only 16 games over two seasons with one touchdown. But prior to that he had a 1,000-yard season with the Redskins and spent five years with the team.

Washington knows Garcon can contribute within the current system and that it needs to overhaul the position, so bringing Garcon back on a short deal to help out would make plenty of sense.
