Should Rangers rest players in the Premiership ahead of the Europa League Final? Saturday Jury

Where does the win over RB Leipzig rank among Rangers European achievements?

Andy Newport: It’s a huge feather in the Ibrox caps but it will only takes its place alongside the creme de la creme conjured up by sides from our wee nation if they go on and triumph in Spain.

Scott Burns: It has got to be up there in terms of one-off games and performances. But it will mean even more if Rangers were to go on and lift the trophy.

Michael Gannon: It’s right up with the best of them, especially when you consider where Rangers have come from in the last decade. It’s one of the greatest stories in European football history, never mind just Scottish.

Can Rangers win the Europa League?

Andy Newport: They have an incredible chance. They’ve proved they can handle the best the Bundesliga can offer after dumping out Dortmund and Leipzig and should have nothing to fear from a side languishing 11th in Germany.

Scott Burns: There is no question they can. They have beaten better teams already although Eintracht Frankfurt are still a very good side. The Bundesliga table also suggests Dortmund and Leipzig are stronger.

Michael Gannon: No doubt. Eintracht are below Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig in the Bundesliga – but they did bump out Barcelona and West Ham on the way to the final. Rangers should have no fear and it might just be written in the stars.

Should Gio van Bronckhorst rest players ahead of the final?

Andy Newport: It’s tough as Gers need to maintain momentum but he won’t want to risk any more injuries given he’s been forced to operate with one hand behind his back without Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe. He’ll just have to dip players in and out.

Scott Burns: I think he has to go and try and win every game. They can still win the league and although it looks unlikely they have to keep going until it is mathematically impossible.

Michael Gannon: Practically ignore it. The league is gone so this is a chance for GVB to rest some weary limbs and get some minutes in to players who needed it. It’s all about Seville.

What should Celtic fans make of Mark Lawwell's appointment at Parkhead?

Andy Newport: The cries of nepotism were always going to come but Lawwell Jnr has a pretty decent CV. Right now, what Ange Postecoglou wants, he gets and if the boss is OK with the appointment so should the punters be.

Scott Burns: A lot is being made of it because of the family name. The bottom line is that he was well-respected and did a good job identifying talent within the CIty group. You must have something about you to operate at top clubs like that.

Michael Gannon: Optimistic. Some fans see the name and assume it’s a family favour, but they would be wrong. Mark Lawwell’s CV stacks up for Celtic in its own right and he already has a relationship with Ange Postecoglou.
