As All-Star voting kicks off for the NBA’s 2020-21 season, the Boston Celtics have two players on their roster who have gotten the nod in prior seasons — and may have a third with a very good chance of making his first All-Star team.
The two who have previously been All-Stars are of course veteran point guard Kemba Walker, and rising star wing Jayson Tatum, both of whom got the nod in 2019-20. But with the ascent of teammate and fellow rising star forward Jaylen Brown this season, the case for the Georgia native seems to grow stronger with every game he plays.

Brown has nearly doubled his career scoring of 13.9 points per game this season with 27.1 points per game, and has career highs in rebounds (5.6), assists (3.5), steals (1.5), blocks (0.6), 3-point shooting (44.1% at 6 attempts per game), field goal percentage (52.2%) and free throws (77.4% at 4.9 per game).
In short, he’s gotten better at nearly everything.
His passing is more creative and crisper, his body control and handles tighter, and his body language rarely sulking, his court awareness rarely out of focus.

And in a wider context, he is a top-10 scorer in the league, third in the NBA in field goals, and in a tie for fourth-most points scored in the league so far this season.
