Work ethics is a fortnightly feature in Guardian Work where a reader submits a workplace dilemma and asks for your help. A selection of the best answers will appear in Saturday's paper. (And if you have a dilemma you'd like to share, anonymously, with our readers, please email us.)
This week's question
I'm constantly told I need to develop my online presence, get a Facebook page, learn to "tweet" and so on, to make me more attractive to employers. But I'm quite a private person and can't understand this obsession with what everyone is up to, or why I should tell everyone what I'm doing. Is there any hope for me?
What are your thoughts?
