Should Halloween and Bonfire Night celebrations be banned due to Covid? Take our survey

Halloween and Bonfire Night are two big seasonal events that people across Liverpool love getting involved in.

But as Liverpool and the surrounding areas remain in local lockdown, should there be a complete ban on celebrating in order to prevent different households mixing?

As of this week, Liverpool's latest coronavirus numbers suggest cases are growing by more than 400 a day, while neighbouring Knowsley's infection rate has risen to more than 600 per 100,000 people.

So do you think that Halloween and Bonfire Night should be cancelled this year due to pandemic?

Earlier this week, the government 'banned' trick or treating in Liverpool warning parents could face fines up to £200 for breaking the rules.

The Department for Health and Social Care said trick or treating would be banned in areas where household mixing is not allowed effectively 'cancelling' Halloween for many families.

Local lockdown areas currently include Merseyside and West Lancashire with stricter restrictions in place in the Liverpool City region, Warrington and Halton.
