Should first-time buyers beat a path to Bury? These flats all cost £80k or less

House prices in Greater Manchester are going up twice as fast as the national average.

In April of this year, new homeowners had to shell out £153,285 on average for a home in the region, according to figures from the Land Registry.

That’s up by four percent from £147,125 in April 2019 - an increase of more than £6,000 in a single year, and double the 2pc rise seen across the country as a whole.

However the scale of year-on-year price increases differs from borough to borough - while prices rose 10 per cent in Trafford, in Bury they have remained the same.

Against that backdrop, we've rounded up a selection of cheaper, smaller properties on sale in Bury, which may appeal to first-time buyers. All of these flats are going for £80,000 or less.
