E-scooters have been increasing in popularity, with many people opting for a more green way of getting about.
However, at the moment e-scooters are in fact illegal on pavements and pretty much illegal on roads, requiring a number of different requirements to be ridden.
But with trials currently going ahead for allowing e-scooters on roads, we want to know your thoughts on whether this mode of transport should be utilised more readily.
Let us know your thoughts in our comments section.
The trial for e-scooters on the roads is currently underway until November this year, and sees the requirements to ride one on roads or cycle paths reduced to just having motor insurance and a regular driving licence.
Government guidance for the trial also recommends training and wearing helmets, but neither of these are mandatory for riders.
As stated by the government, the aim of the trial is: "to build robust evidence about the safety, benefits, public perceptions and wider impacts of e-scooters to inform legal changes that may be necessary after the trial period ends."
