Should dogs be kept on leads in parks? Have your say

It's been another scorching weekend, and the parks have been packed with families. And it's been perfect weather for taking your dog for a walk.

Many dog owners love to take advantage of the wide open green spaces in parks to exercise their pets. And when they exercise their dogs, a large proportion of owners like to take them off their leads, so they can let off steam.

But what if your unleashed dog bothers one of those families playing in the park? What if your reassurance that your soft old Great Dane is "only being friendly" when he's got his paws on the shoulders of a terrified nine-year-old girl who's scared of dogs doesn't really cut through?

Is it right that dog owners should have to keep their dogs on leads at all times in parks? Should non-dog owners have to put up with rogue Jack Russells going off piste around their ankles? Is that the sort of thing that people should expect when they go to a park and they need to get over themselves?

Or should there be enclosed areas where you can let your dog off its lead?
